Just bothered installing it on my Incredible and, while it is fun, some people regularly take 20 minutes or hours on their turn. WTF? You can’t even quit a game with a non-player until it’s your turn either. I think the current time-out for a random game is measured in days. Lame. I’ve played chess via snailmail faster than that.
They really need a separate lighting round game where you get 30 or 60 seconds per turn. I’d enjoy playing this on my lunch break.
The only solution on my end that I’ve thought of is tracking down some actual friends to play with – just so I can ride their ass is they take an eon per turn.
Yeah, this isn’t really a “let’s play a game for the next hour” sort of game. It’s a game where you check it on Tuesday and “hey, it’s my turn.” Maybe a couple more times that day. Then you’re busy Wednesday so you don’t have a chance to get back to it that day and you make up for it with checking it several times on Thursday. I’ve had games take two weeks or more.
ETA: And yes, you can play tons of games at once. I think the limit is somewhere around 20 at a time. I’ve hit the limit twice before.
Before having to wait on an exceptionally long line yesterday, my WWF opponents had been waiting anywhere between 10 hours and six days for me to make a move. I have one friend who will occasionally poke me to make a move, but I always go “oldest first”, and I’ll make a move when I’m damn well ready.
If I want to play and I’m waiting on all my opponents, then I simply start a new game.
