Do you always carry ID?

Sheesh, the requirement for “real ID” can sure be steep when buying booze - when trying to buy a beer at Wrigley Field, we were told our (Canadian) driver’s license wasn’t real ID. If it was good enough for an Idaho State Trooper, you’d think it would be good enough for a cashier at Wrigley Field. :wink:

I was thinking about this thread when we recently got fingerprinted and had all of our information recorded just to visit Universal Studios and Seaworld. Being asked for ID randomly is the least of your problems!

That’s weird. I’m assuming those are privately-owned and thus have their own rules. Maybe they think it’ll stop the terrorists?

I think (and I could totally be wrong about this) that they’re doing it as an identification measure in case something happens - everyone has information and fingerprint recorded, so if anything happens, they just go through the database.
