I know that legend too. Unfortunately, our cats usually sleep through midnight, so I never get to hear what’s on their minds.
As for the OP, yes, our cats always get something–usually, more kitty treats and some new toys; though such things as scratch pads and a trackball spinner toy have been given in the past too.
