(sigh) It was temporary. Though I’ve in some (not all) cases restrained myself from posting.
I think it may die down to some extent; at least, the posts referencing him in threads that were supposed to be about something else altogether.
And in the interests of that I’ve wiped a couple of other replies I started to make in this thread.
I didn’t answer the poll because I don’t post much anywhere. I did, however, read P&E A LOT. That and the Pit, because it was more of the same, but saltier.
I also realized that I was spending way too much time here. Since the election, I’ve gotten off my butt and gotten some things done that have been neglected. I’m sure I’ll pop into P&E once in a while to see what’s going on, but I’m not digging the vibe there right now.
On the other hand, I’m still listening to my podcasts. Most of them have not been just rage, but have been soberly breaking down what may happen, what may not, and actually giving me a better perspective on what’s going on. It’s hard to see through the media fog of what they’re selling. Maybe it’s just more media fog, who knows.
(just a FYI- I listen to Al Franken, John Stewart and Adam Conover. They’ve had excellent guests.)
Without SDMB and its generally intelligent discourse among largely (but not entirely) left-leaning (to varying degrees) participants I would feel very alone.
