Do you have a favorite dish to eat out or off of?

I’ve been using my Corelle plates and bowls for about 20 years. They’re all a nice size and can be put in the microwave.
About a year ago I was going through boxes stored in the basement and found a Lusterware tea/luncheon set that my mom received for her wedding (1960). It’s very pretty with Japanese cherry blossoms on it. She never used it and palmed it off on me years ago. I forgot all about it. There’s a teapot, sugar bowl, creamer, teacups, saucers and luncheon plates. I thought why let it sit in a box for all eternity. So the sugar bowl is now being used and I use the plates for sandwiches.

…and I cannot lie.

My go-to bowls are Fiestaware. My favorite oatmeal bowl is one with an Xmas design, unusually tall so oatmeal is much less likely to boil over the edge during microwaving.

I have two favorite coffee mugs, both from the Maine Diner. One is this oversized mug. The absolute best is a smaller, blue mug with a thick, heavy-duty rim, perfect for lower consumption days (sadly, they don’t seem to offer it any more, so I must cherish the one I have).

The first ones. The hammered ones would have been too fancy for kids in the 50s.

I am extremely enamored of my stoneware ramen bowl, which is shaped like a whale. Imagine something like this but rounded and with eyes and a tail, providing both a handle and personality. It was handmade and therefore expensive, but I won’t eat ramen out of anything else.
