Do you have problems with late phone messages?

My carrier is Verizon, and I have no trouble getting a signal most places. What I do have a problem with is late messages-anywhere from an hour or so to a whole day. Just yesterday late morning both the missed call indicator and the message indicator suddenly chimed. The missed call was from about noon the previous day, and the message immediately after asking if I could fill in for an early Sunday shift. I know it wasn’t a case of me not checking for messages and calls earlier because I was anticipating a call from someone else so I was checking even more than usual. Has this ever happened to you and, if so, what did you do?

Not nearly as late as you describe, but I’ll occasionally have my phone vibrate with a “Missed Call & Voicemail” message, when it never vibrated to indicate an incoming call. (Due to my office environment, I’m discouraged from having an audible ring tone.) But, that’s usually a matter of a few minutes after the call came in, not the lengthy delay you describe.

Every once in a while something comes in late, a couple of times the next day. I frequently get voicemail indicators when the phone didn’t ring at all or record an incoming call. Maybe people are using a direct to voice mail app, don’t know.

Also Verizon and I have had some more than a day late; no pattern to which are late and which are not. I use my cell phone so rarely and so casually that it isn’t a big issue for me so I basically just ignore it. Maybe 75% of the time I get calls is at family functions and since some of the people calling are there or calling others who are also there it just isn’t an issue.

Verizon just sucks. I rarely get voice messages in a timely manner!
Sometimes even texts are somewhat delayed! I know that is due to signal strength. Which is understandable if I am home (in the boonies).

I have had it happen, but very rarely, and not in the last few years. I would call them and wade through tech support. (Also Verizon, just south of you.)

Yes! And my cell is also my business phone, so it’s a real PITA. I’m on Verizon as well. They either don’t come in for a day or two, or I don’t get a notification for several days or, like now, the number of voicemails showing is incorrect. I’ve had “4” voicemails for weeks, even when I go in and properly dispatch them all - either delete or save- and I know it’s clean, I still see “4” voicemails.

It wasn’t always like that, more so in the past few years. I’ll go to listen to a message when I know I’ve missed a call and then find two more from days prior that never showed up on notifications.

I’ve got the AT&T pay-as-you-go plan. One time, I didn’t get a message till the next day. Someone was coming to see me and got lost about a quarter of a mile away. She called and the phone didn’t ring, nor did her voicemail alert till more than 24 hours later. I felt really bad because she’d driven a long way. I just assumed she’d decided not to come, since it wasn’t a firm plan in the first place.

But as far as I know, that’s the only time it happened.

My husband has Verizon, and several times, my calls to him didn’t go thru. He’d get notification of a missed call some time later.

Also with Verizon and have noticed a pattern that if a call and VM does not go through right away it can take a while till it does.

You should be getting your calls in real time so I’d check your settings like the airplane mode and do not disturb.

We have this more often than not on our landline. Got to the point where once a day we’ll pick up the phone to get a dialtone then hang up to sort of “refresh” the connection. If there are then any new voicemails, it will show up in about 5 minutes.
