It seems the older people get, the less likely they are to keep up with current music. I’m 36 and I do a fairly good job keeping up with rock, and plan to for a long time. I listen to other genres, but don’t really keep up with them. I’ve also gone through a couple of, “Music sucks now, they don’t make it like they use to,” phases but changed my mind after hearing a lot of good new songs.
Anyway, what about you? Do you keep up?
I do keep up my my core genre of music which is metal/hardcore and I’m 33. I don’t know the names of any of the billboard acts that my kids listen to. Not because I’m too cool for that but because I really have no idea who they are.
I listened to a top 40 radio station this weekend, there were 3 identical songs in a row, all sounded like the same nasally-voiced R&B singer, two of them referenced going back to a condo and two of them talked about doing it from behind.
I don’t think I’m missing much.

I probably average 3 albums / month. Usually electronic.

I’m very sorry. I’ll explain. I started to make a post just like this one, but closed it for…well, to make a long story short, I closed it. Somehow it posted anyway but I didn’t know it. I started working on this one and got a response to the other and somehow got a response to this one even though I was still in the middle of working on my poll options. Anyway, I thought I went to my other post and asked to have it closed, only to realize that I asked to close this one instead.
OK, so maybe the explanation isn’t that short, but anyway, it won’t happen again. 
Well, you should have just left it closed, since the poll is all screwed up: you can only check one box, and you asked 3 different questions.
I’ll wait for the poll to be fixed or for a new thread before I post any answers.

OK, I asked to have the poll fixed. My apologies to everybody. It’s my first poll. If I ever make any more I know what to do now. Although I’m certain that I followed the proper directions to make the options check boxes, so I don’t know why it didn’t work.
We can add or subtract answers to the poll but I don’t think we can change those options, Nobody. Sorry. I think you need to do this one more time.
The only two (2) stations I watch is BBC News and MTV out of Taiwan. And the only radio station we have on at home is Met 107 FM, which plays hits from the US. So the wife and I manage to keep up to a certain extent.
