This is bugging me and I don’t really have enough to go on to do a proper search, but I bet someone here remembers this movie. I believe it came out in the late 90s or early 00s. I only remember a few minutes of it; I think I caught it right at the end.
The Americans were gaining ground on the Germans. They stumbled upon an internment camp. Up to that point, they (at least the soldiers in the movie) had no idea that the Nazis had such concentration camps, so they were rather surprised by it. They asked one of the prisoners who the nazis were holding there, and he replied in German, “Criminals, blacks, jews… jews.” Then they started handing out food, but when they radioed in what they found, they were told not to feed them until medical personnel arrived. So they were forced to tell the prisoners they would have to return to their barracks. That’s the last part I remember.
Anyone remember this and is it a good movie? I’ve remembered this one part of it for over a decade and figured it might be worth watching.
