Do you know who was President when you were born?

I figured the fact that I specifically mentioned that the elder Bush wouldn’t have been president in 1988 would have made it clear that I understand how the presidential election system works but I think people usually talk about it in terms of election years.

another Eisenhower here.

I’ll be the first to post Truman.

I’m wondering how anyone can not know. I figured out in 4th grade that it was JFK.

LBJ

How is that easy?

Eisenhower

Me too. His first term.

I wasn’t sure but I actually had it right: Johnson (in the term for which he’d been elected).

Reagan. Don’t remember how old I was when I first figured it out.

Eisenhower/Diefenbaker.

+1.

I remember watching JFK’s inauguration on TV with my mother.

LBJ.

Edward Heath was UK prime minister. I guessed the US president was Nixon, but I had to look it up to confirm that I was right.

I was pretty sure it was Nixon, but I wasn’t sure exactly what day Inauguration Day is. He’d only been president 5 days when I was born.

We were born at pretty much the same time, so this answer duplicates mine.

I notice we’re not getting a lot of Britons in this thread. I assume having had the same head of state for the last fifty-nine years take a lot of the fun out of this game.

Yes-Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Out of curiosity, are there any Americans who can tell, without looking it up, who was the Speaker of the House when they were born? I’m thinking probably less than one out of a hundred Americans know off the top of their head (I didn’t).

Which is why I asked for elected Head of Government, not monarch, in the OP.
