Do you live in the same city, county, state, country you work in?

I don’t even have to cross a doorway
(I work from home, and quite often have my laptop set up in the bedroom).

Nearest city to me, that anyone would have heard of, is Washington DC.

I work 130 miles from my home. I teach at a college and have classes Monday through Thursday morning, so I leave Sunday after supper and arrive home Thursday afternoon. It takes just over two hours; I pass through St Paul (MN) on the way. I cross several county borders. I put 22000 miles on the car per year.

It helps that we bought a small house on a lake there, so it’s like a weekly commute to a vacation house. My wife gets jealous though! She’s glad to see me Thursday, but by Sunday morning she’s asking me when I’m leaving again…

I work in a different state, but my place of work is ~4.6 miles away from where I live. Minneapolis/ St. Paul is the closest city with a sports franchise.
There is a Houston that is closer, but it isn’t the one most people have heard of.

I live in the city of Dallas (the big city of the area), but I work in Addison, which is a suburb that borders Dallas on its Eastern and Southern borders.

It’s in the same county though, and about 7.8 miles from where I live as the crow flies.

D/FW is kind of a weird place, in that the suburban farm towns incorporated early, so that Dallas became locked-in fairly early on, and couldn’t expand or annex like Houston or Austin could. As a result, there’s a crazy quilt of large to small municipalities that carpet the area, with Dallas and Fort Worth simply being the largest two. So Dallas proper is something like the 9th largest in the country, and third largest in Texas, but the metro area is the 4th largest in the country and largest in Texas.

I live in a different county (Fairfield), and work in Franklin County, in Columbus. Whether you consider it a different city is debatable. I live outside Columbus, OH, in a town called Pickerington. However, I’m in a bizarre part of Pickerington where we pay Columbus city taxes and have Columbus city utilities and services. However, mailing address is Pickerington, schools are Pickerington Local (not Columbus City), so I also pay separate Pickerington school taxes.

I didn’t know you lived in Fairfield County. I grew up in Fairfield and then lived in Perry.

Another Buckeye here. I live in Chillicothe, in Ross county, and work in Dublin, in Franklin county. I also pass through Pickaway county on the way to work. I work at home 2 days per week, and drive to Dublin 3 days per week. This schedule can be adjusted at my discretion when it snows.

The nearest major city is Columbus, Ohio, which has two professional sports franchises, the Ohio State (Big10) Buckeyes and the Columbus (NHL) Bluejackets.

I live in Gwinnett County, just north of Atlanta. They have some weird city borders around here. I live 4.2 miles from work. My home is in one city, my job is in another city, and my wife’s former job (literally halfway between my job and our house) was in yet another city.
Even dumber; when we go shopping, we pass a sign that says “Welcome to Lawrenceville,” even though we live in Lawrenceville.
