Do you look like any celebrities?

I’ve been told Jodie Foster a couple times. Both were sort of weird situations though. The first time I was walking down the street in Frisco* and some bum told me “Hey, you look just like that Jodie Foster…well except of course she has all day to exercise and stay in shape and stuff.” Thanks a lot! Yeesh.

Then about 8 years later I’m sitting in my car at a Reno gas station waiting for my husband who is inside getting directions. A lady was standing near the car using a payphone, told her friend to hold on, put the phone down and actually stuck her head in my window and shrieked “OH MY GOD! I seriously thought you were Jodie Foster! MY GOD!”

Lastly, someone told me I looked like Katie Holmes. I didn’t know who she was but when I looked her up online I thought “I WISH!”

*heh heh

Many years ago I was told twice in the same day that I look like Crispin Glover. More recently I was told that I looked like a young Robert DeNiro. However, all of those people are high - I don’t look at all like either of those people.

Back in my twenties, I had the punk-rock thing going, and was constantly told I looked like Pat Benatar. I must have…because I won a Pat Benatar look-alike contest about 1982.

After that, I decided to go with red hair, and suddenly everybody said I looked like Molly Ringwald. I still get that from time to time. While I think she is/was a halfway decent actress, I never thought she was attractive and it kind of pissed me off to be compared to her.

Then back in the mid-90’s, a guy I worked with insisted that I look like Suzanne Somers. I sure didn’t mind being compared to her, but I never have thought we resemble. Others at work disagreed with me, however, and thought he was right. It must have been the great body we both have that threw them off!

Three completely different people have told me I look like Amanda Peet. I’m really not seeing it, but I’ve decided to take it as a compliment.

I’ve been told I either look like Anthony Kiedis (when he had his hair long) or Guy Smiley. Personally, I think the latter is more accurate. No photos, though… :frowning:

Is Mr. Clean a celebrity? If so, I kind of look like a celebrity. It’d be the mug shot from just before he was sent to Betty Ford, but there’s a bit of a resemblance.

No, but I’ve been told I sometimes sound like John Wayne. However, I once worked with a woman whose son is a dead ringer for Howard Stern.

I have been compared to Bebe Neuwirth as Lilith Crane, Madeline Kahn, Gillian Anderson…
Any female actress with an austere face, pretty much.

I’ve been told Jennifer Lopez. This is patently ridiculous, as anyone who has ever seen me knows. I think they just couldn’t come up with a famous Hispanic woman besides her. I was also told I look like Jennifer Love Hewitt a couple of times, because when I laugh my eyes scrunch up into crescents. Also ridiculous. I think Jennifer Love Hewitt looks just like Wil Wheaton, though.

An ex used to tell me that if my life were a movie, Shelley Duvall (Olive Oyl) would play me. He sucked. And when I was in high school and liked to wear hats, I was told by several people that I looked like Mayim Bialik (Blossom, like OpalCat). I was so insulted I stopped wearing hats for a long time.

I’m pretty sure I don’t look like any celebrities. Not too many chicks of Norwegian/Mexican descent to end up with a similar facial structure is my guess.

From meeting you last summer, Gundy, I’d have to say the closest I can come up with is Penelope Cruz: http://us.imdb.com/PGallery?Cruz,%20Penlope&source=ss

(As for the ex who said Shelly Duvall, I hope you whooped him a good one.)

I was told that when I wore my hair down and wore my glasses that I looked like John Lennon…

…which is a great thing to say to a 17 year old girl!

Actually, you look like this guy, who has often been compared to Ben Affleck himself, for some reason that I can’t figure out.

I get told I look like either Keanau Reeves or Christian Bale a lot. I can see the Christain Bale one a little more.

I still don’t see it, but I’ll take that! And yes, I made short work of the ex, who looked like Barry Manilow anyway, the schmuck.

After reading your post, I was trying to think of who I thought you looked like, and I finally got it reading the “24” thread. You look like Richard Burgi, who played Alan York/Kevin Carroll (Evil Fake Murdering Dad) last season and was the title character in the series “The Sentinel”.

I’ve been told I look like Steve Buscemi, Colm Fiore, Eminem (during my blond phase) and the skinny guy who dates the redhead on That 70’s Show. To make matters worse, I’ve been told that I act like the skinny guy too. Having watched the show, I can kind of see it.

Despite rumors to the contrary, I do NOT look like Fabio. I do, however, emphasize with the man. It really does taste like butter.

People have told me I look like Tobey Maguire. I don’t see it.

Sometimes ppl tell me I resemble cher, I dont really see it but I think it’s because of I have black hair, the same thing goes with ppl asking me if I am goth. I dunno.

I look like Shaggy nowadays.

i would get clare danes a lot; people coming up to me and saying how much they liked me in that romeo and juliet movie, etc.

now i just look like me.

When I had short hair, it was Bridget Fonda and the girl who plays Darma on Darma and Greg. Can’t recall her name at the moment…I always felt as if these were the only two famous women anyone could think of with short hair.

These days, with longer hair, I get “a young Cybill Shepherd” most often…and since I had no idea what she looked like at a young age, I had to Google her.

It’s kind of weird, but we do look a lot alike from certain angles…and I have pics but I have no idea how to link 'em, so you’re just gonna have to imagine.
