I’ve heard Stevie Nicks, Bernadette Peters, and at one point Nicole Kidman (which made me fall down on the floor in hysterics until the person who said it assured me they were serious).
I prefer the Bernadette comparisons myself.

I resemble no celebrities. I’m sure the celebrities would be glad of this if they knew who I was…
alice_in_wonderland: Pictures, please. Lots.
I can’t remember her name…but the woman that played Charlene in Designing Women…same personality too.
I think you look kind of like Jeremy Irons, although I can’t find a good comparison picture.
In one picture you look like that guy from Mad TV.
Ah, I figured out his name. It’s Michael McDonald.
Here’s a picture of him. There’s another picture of him here.
And then the picture of Ethilrist
I don’t know names either but I’ve been told that I look and act like “Idgie” in Fried Green Tomatoes and also the villian woman in the funny version of The Three Musketeers with Keifer Sutherland and Chris O’Donnell.
I think I prefer the villian woman. She’s really nice looking. But I don’t really see the comparison.
My sister swears that I look like Jody Foster and have the same personality. I like that comparison, too.
During various hairstyles and haircolors over the years, I’ve been told Jodie Foster, Sandra Bullock, Reese Witherspoon, LeeAnn Rhimes, and a blonde Cindy Crawford from a guy who was trying to get in my pants.
My hubby looks strikingly like Gus Frerotte (former Redskins QB and current Cincinnatti Bengals QB) and is told that often, especially when Gus was playing here in DC. Here’s a link to Gus: Gus Frerotte
I’ve been told I look like Cory Feldman, or is it Cory Phelps. Either way it’s a scary thought. I was also told from a picture that I look like Antonino Banderas. I much perfer that.
I’ve variously heard Ben Affleck and Billy Zane. Personally, I don’t see either one (the only resemblance I see, especially to Aflac, is that I’m tall with dark brown hair).
So do any of you get approached as potential romantic partners by people who are fans of the celebrities you look like? I think I guy with a Princess Leia fetish would jump at the opportunity to date Alias for instance. Sometimes I see a famous female celebrity and think “I want to marry a woman who looks like her” but then I think that’s not fair, because then you’re not appreciating the person for who she is.
Do comparisons made by your mother count? My mom and sister kind of think I look like Brendan Fraser, but they’re obviously biased. I think my sister totally has a Liv Tyler thing going on, but of course she doesn’t see it.
Oh, and this woman from India once told me I looked exactly like an American version of Sanjev Kumar, a Bollywood actor, but I can’t find a picture of this guy anywhere! Does anybody know where I can find a headshot of this guy?
I see a little bit of Bruce Campbell in you as well.
cuauhtemoc, I’ve been with the same guy for seven years, so the Carrie Fisher thing isn’t an issue with him. However, when I was in high school, the Star Wars geeks were all over the fact that I looked like her and it kind of bugged me.
I was in the Thespian group at my school, and we did this Star Wars parody thing once, and I played Princess Leia. I had the white dress, the hair, everything. When I came onstage, everyone gasped. In that respect, it was pretty cool.
Hail to the king, baby.
Ok, here’s Sanjeev Kumar. I don’t wear a beard, but I can kind of see a slight resemblance in this photo.
Alias, that’s wild. So would you be annoyed if your guy asked you to put this on and call him “Han”?
Oh, we do that all the time.
Oh, don’t fret. I always found Norman Bates quite attractive. Or Anthony Perkins, rather.
I’ve gotten Kristi Yamaguchi and Margaret Cho; unfortunately I am scanner-less so I can’t get other opinions.
I can see the Affleck resemblance.
