Reddit now tracks how many consecutive days you have posted or even just upvoted someone. I’m closing in on the 400 day badge with 20 days to go. The streak counter has only been active for about 3 years so there are only 5,148 people in the 1000 day category. There are 2.7 million who have achieved the 365 day badge like me.
To see your numbers view your profile and select “view all” under achievements.
On the SDMB, though, I have the Aficionado badge, which is granted for visiting 100 consecutive days. I don’t know if we have any badges for longer periods than that.
A SDMB ‘Devotee’ badge, which is for visiting the SDMB 365 consecutive days. Which surprised me, since I’m most often active during the week, and mostly stay offline (I thought) on the weekends. I guess I must still at least glance at the SDMB on weekends, though.
I think I need to get out more, or get more hobbies
I like Reddit but I always have trouble posting there. For some reason or another I always get a message back that it was formatted wrong or I broke some other posting rule. It’s extremely annoying and I honestly try my best to comply with the sub rules.
I don’t think the streak is for writing. It also carries for upvotes and downvotes. IIRC I remember seeing the streak counter when I like something just after midnight.
you don’t need to log-in to read reddit … and I have a very strict cookie/ad-block regime … so reddit wouldn’t be able to streak/track me (which is one of the reasons for my strict regime - the other just being old, grumpy and slightly paranoid ;o) ).
I have an 870+ day streak on Reddit. I am not really trying, altho on days I wont have guaranteed connectivity I think that is the day the streak will end - and oh well!
