What you forgot to ask about is ammunition. I have between 25,000 to 27,000 rounds of ammunition in many different calibers. A few years ago I saw that lead, copper and zinc prices were rising, and together with the likely wide scale rush to purchase ammunition should Obama get the White House it was obvious that ammo prices would go way up. Stocking up was a smart choice now that I look back on it. My sport shooting is pre-paid for a very long time.
All of it is locked up in safes. The ammo safe would need a forklift to move.
I would recommend drinking those beers after the “blowin’ up shit” activity is over and all the “blowin’ up shit” stuff is safely stuffed away. Just sayin’
Huh? A decent gun safe is safe against the average burglar unless the burglar is bringing some heavy-duty tools which he knows how to use and has sufficient time to open the safe. Choose a keylocked gun safe, keep the key in your pocket and the spare in a secure place outside your house, and neither you nor your family should have any worries.
FTR: A gun should always be kept unloaded and inside a safe unless it’s being cleaned, taken to the gunsmith for service or used for shooting or hunting. And as Skald says, don’t get one unless you’ve got the time and determination to learn to handle it properly
