Yes all the time, I love replaying games.
Ditto. I love re-living experiences and knowing what is going to happen can be part of the pleasure for me.
More and more rarely, as my backlog of unplayed games gets ever longer.
Generally I only replay RPGs with stories I liked such as Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Fallout (just 1 and 2), KOTR, Alpha Protocol, Baldur’s Gate, Planescape: Torment. Usually this is sparked by a sequel coming out and it’ll be a few years between playthroughs.
The Europa Universalis games are the only big exception I can think of.
Here’s what’s funny: I love to rewatch movies and reread books. I have seen some movies in nearly triple digit numbers of times (yeah, Star Wars) and there was period of about ten years where I reread The Stand every year once a year but yet, like I said in OP I find replaying games tedious. Not sure why I find that different. Maybe the active component of the game playing.
As an update, I restarted DA:O a few days ago. Male dwarf rogue instead of female human fighter.
Not to replay it through differently, but sure to play an old retro game that I barely remember.
I might play through a small bit to get to something I missed, as long as I can get back there quickly, but if it takes any real effort, I’ll just go online and find someone whose already done it and watch a video.
Heck, I often do that to games I haven’t finished yet, as I’m not a good gamer, and only like gaming insofar as it adds a feeling of interactivity to the story. I don’t like it to actually be very challenging at all.
