Occasionally, there will be a poll for the ladies to answer, and sometimes I either know how my spouse would answer because it had come up already or else I call over, “Hey, honey, do you flush or not flush your tampons?” and if she tells me, then I choose the appropriate button on the poll.
Is this a no-no? I’m contributing an honest data point. Anyone else do this? Women, do you answer questions about man parts based on your hubbies’ and boyfriends’ would-be answers if they were Dopers?
Yes, sometimes, if it’s about people who are attracted to women rather than actual gender, but the asker has made the poll gendered.
If I wanted to add a data point about my partner or someone else, then I’d generally make a comment but not vote in the poll. There’d be nothing wrong with voting, anyway - SDMB polls are highly-self-selecting unscientific ways of gauging opinions and experiences anyway.
Like **scifisam **said, I’ll vote in polls about attraction, regardless of gender (like, “what do you find sexiest in a woman?” or something) because I like both genders.
Sometimes I’ll ask my husband for his input to provide more data. Sometimes I steer clear of them.
It’s not unusual for a question addressed to “ladies” to be totally applicable to gay men, especially when concerning their involvement with men. So I’ll respond if it’s appropriate.
If you know the poll doesn’t apply to you, why vote? (I assume you’re not talking about polls like mine, which generally include a This whole thing is bullshit, Pippin! option.)
Go ahead. It’s not like I’m not already plotting to have you exiled to Bugtussle anyway.
