Do You Stay Until the End of the Credits?

Only for Jackie Chan movies because he’s always got bloopers and junk showing. So technically I’m not staying for the credits, I’m staying for the behind the scenes stuff, heh…I don’t even notice the credits, so maybe that doesn’t count.

I love when movies/TV shows have bloopers and such on them. Always fun to see how many takes some stuff can require (I saw some clips of Bruce Lee screwing up his flashy nunchaku moves somewhere once). More movies should do it, or at least put SOMETHING during the credits…At least, that’s my take on it.

And as you can probably guess I rarely watch a movie that doesn’t have any martial arts in it, heh…I’m weird that way.

I only stay for movies I really liked. Its more of a way for me to let the effect of the movie sink in before I have to go out and deal with traffic and so on. I saw Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon yesterday and would have liked to have stayed for all the credits. Unfortunately, the second song was terrible; I figured the traffic was preferable.

As often as I can!!

My friends (including my wife) feel differently so I can’t always get away with it.

I don’t usually want to stay for the credits. The whole credits, not just halfway through to see if so-and-so played in another movie. I will do so if, as mentioned earlier, the movie enchanted me so much that I don’t want to leave the “ambience” of the world the movie created. Sorry, Lazarus honey, I didn’t know I was causing you this much unrest. Tell you what - if you start to actually care about who’s in the movie and learn critical facts such as the difference between Drew Barrymore and Drew Carey, then I will stay for the credits.

Hugs!

I almost always stay. Usually for many of the reasons stated, looking for a specific name off the cast list, music, etc. But my main reason is usually I want to know where the thing was shot, location sites are almost always the last thing up, so I stay. Hubby bolts for a smoke straight away, anyway, so by the time I get out to him, he’s usually done stinking up the place and we can go home in a smoke free car.

I always stay. I’ll second FormerlyKnownAsBlack in that I’m usually interested in the musical credits but also as a form of appreciation and polite behavior.

I’ll stay to read the cast list with interest.
I’m usually curious about a minor character actor that I may recognize from other films. I jot down the name and look it up at home to see what else they may have been in.

The rest, like the grip credits, though is only useful to their kinfolk. And the guild, of course.

Drew Barrymore has much nicer tits!!

I always stay and watch the whole credits. There is a good chance that I know someone in the electrical department. And, I also like to check out the location. If it isn’t obvious my SO and I usually have a bet on where it was filmed.

Two things that annoy me. Movies that leave most of the electrical department out of the credits and movie theaters who feel the need to turn on the lights and clean during the credits. I paid for the whole movie and the credits are part of the movie. Now go away and let me watch it.

I like to stay, but it usually doesn’t work out that way. It seems if you go with a group, one always is the type who just HAS to be the first one to the car. It seems they always win the peer pressure battle, forcing everyone else up too. Typically dates have alays been more high strung than me, and in a hurry to leave cause its late. I’ll never understand what the big frikking hurry is, to get out to the cold car amongst the hundred other people.

I like to stay for a variety of reasons. I have always been one who hates missing things, phone calls, parties, conversations, TV shows, anything, so I always think there might be an Easter Egg in there. Also, there typically is the best music during the credits. I also frequently wonder “who that guy was” or “where it was filmed”. I get a little annoyed when the credits are too small or too fast, granted most don;t watch them, but why the hell would the flimmaker want to make it hard for those who do to read any of it. I also don’t like the scrolling credits as much as ones presented in a series of slides, the latter is easier to read.

The most pressing reason I like to stay is that I just want to relax and soak in the movie for a second, and pay a little attention to the company I’m with. Too many people are just entirely incapable of relaxing.
