Do you think Bush is nervous today?

With all the security for the inaugeration, do you think W is thinking “I can’t wait till this day is over.” or the fact that he’s being sworn in? Regardless of all the security, i know i’d be scared s-less knowing how crazy the world has become.

No.

But I am.

I don’t see why he should be any more nervous today than any other day. The symbolism of assasinating him on he re-innaguration can’t be denied but neither can the stupidity of trying it. If you’re going to kill the President, it’d be best not to do it on a day where the Secret Service is going to be even more on alert than normal.

April 14, 1865, July 2, 1881, September 6, 1901, and November 22, 1963 weren’t especially signifcant (okay, the first was Good Friday but that’s coincidence) and so far as I can remember, none of the other four or five attempts happened on special occasions either.
