Maybe it’s just a fluke, but I think Cecil has regained his edge back—at least temporarily. All hail the dynamic master!

Shouldn’t that be either “gained his edge back” or “regained his edge”?
[sup]Awwww crap…well, I tried[/sup]

We’ll see how he does on the disappearing moon and the cabbits questions.
Its a fair question, irregardless of his grammatical error’s.
Is this a joke that I’m not quite getting?
Yes. And you missed irregardless.
Main Entry: ir·re·gard·less
Pronunciation: "ir-i-'gärd-l&s
Function: adverb
Etymology: probably blend of irrespective and regardless
Date: circa 1912
nonstandard : REGARDLESS
usage Irregardless originated in dialectal American speech in the early 20th century. Its fairly widespread use in speech called it to the attention of usage commentators as early as 1927. The most frequently repeated remark about it is that “there is no such word.” There is such a word, however. It is still used primarily in speech, although it can be found from time to time in edited prose. Its reputation has not risen over the years, and it is still a long way from general acceptance. Use regardless instead.
That was a hilarious column, Mike! Thanks for linking to it.
Of course, I’m proud to say that I never thought his columns had lost their edge, even while I was asserting that he might not be up to mixing it up with the community of fierce debaters that has coalesced here. (See sig for link.) Whoever’s writing “Cecil’s” columns, he ain’t lost it just yet.
Rufus, don’t make me come back there.
Silo, as one who never thought he lost his edge, I was nevertheless pleased with the column you linked. And this week’s as well.
