Do you think I could still drive?

I haven’t driven a car since 1994. I don’t have one and don’t know anyone who does so I can’t try. In fact my licence expired.

Do you lose the ability? I learned on a stick shift and am comfortable with either stick or automatic.

Anyone else had a similiar exeperience?

Like riding a bike and other things, once you learn, you never forget!!

do you really think so?

You do get rusty, so a little off freeway exercise might be a good idea. But, as noted above, yes, you can still drive.

Makes me wonder: has anybody knowledge of an ex-President actually driving a vehicle? Jimmy Carter would be the most likely, I think.

Actually, I’d say to drive on the freeway first. Less traffic (depending where you are), less people to hit, no oncoming traffic, no start/stop, no traffic sign to watch out for, etc.

You can’t accidently create a handicapped baby whilst smoking pot.

Well there’s no way I could drive, i’m hoofed off the planet right now :D.

Sure, my best friend did the same thing. Drives just fine.

It could be worse, I am faced with learning to drive at 40+.And now we have a step program. I’ll probably have to get teenager to go everywhere with me. Yikes!

I’ve always lived in the urban core, but now want to move to the country so I gotta do it.

Just practise a little first, go out real late at night when there isn’t much traffic maybe.

Wisdom is the boobie prize, they give you when you’ve been --unwise!

Markxxx, you better read the new vehicle code too, cuz it probably aint the same.

Go drive some Go-Carts at your local Pee Wee Golf and report back with the results. No fatalities? You’re ok to drive.
