If you ask at Merles, they will give you their North Carolina Que sauce. It’s a wonderful vinegar based sauce, they stopped putting it out on the tables because the heathens didn’t know what to do with it…“Where’s the spicy ketchup?”
Their pulled pork sandwich comes with the proper dollop of slaw on it and with some NC vinegar based sauce on it, oh man oh man:)

If anyone wants my recipe for Brunswick Stew, which is essentially the one in the Williamsburg(VA) cookbook, I’ll be glad to post it at Cafe. It’s as good as it gets, IMHO.
