Here is the Children in Need Doctor Who video. https://youtu.be/RfLtAdSgWPQ?si=wglh9j_Uf8U9JiiA
Might I be the first to say…
I like it!
I liked the preview. David looks so good. He’s aged very little since leaving the show in 2010.
I had trouble understaning the bad guy’s thick accent. Thank goodness for subtitles.
Looking forward to Nov 25.
Any news on when/where it will be broadcast in the US? I can’t find it anywhere on my cable listings. In the past, episodes of Doctor Who were shown on BBCA at the same time or shortly after they were aired in the UK.
Google failed me too. This arictle came out in 2022.
The American audience is important revenue for Doctor Who. It should air somewhere.
According to that 2022 article Doctor Who is expected to be available on Disney+ at the same time it airs on BBC. Fortunately, I have access to Disney+ so I’ll be able to watch it there.
BBC Four showed a repeat of the docu-drama ‘An adventure in space and time’ last night with a few changes from its original broadcast.
Due to an ongoing rights issue with ‘an unearthly child’ any scenes with dialogue from that episode were cut.
More interesting was the change to a scene near the very end which caught me totally off guard. Well worth seeking out.
Unfortunately Disney+ has Doctor Who.

I’m not subscribing for one show. It’ll pop up on the Net eventually. Or I’ll bring a six pack of beer to a friend with Disney and watch it there.
Subscribe for a month and cancel it in that first month. Your subscription will run for the entire month. You can see all the new Doctor Who stuff and have the rest of the vault, Marvel, Star Wars, Simpsons & Nat Geo stuff for that month as a bonus.
I’m doing this right now with Paramount+ for Lower Decks.
Well, maybe I just got taken in by the nostalgia. But I loved it.
I’ve been a big fan since 1963, and the most recent episode was an adaptation of a comic I read way back in 1980. Pat Mills and Dave Gibbons (legendary UK comic creators) were invited on set to meet their creations, and signed a copy of the comic for David Tennant. That copy must be worth a bomb now.
It’s on Disney + in America?
Edit: Just realized it is and it is live now. Neat.
Disney+ is now the home of all Nu Who from 2005 forward. It will be so for several years at least, but maybe for the foreseeable future.
Keep in mind the Disney+ & Hulu merger begins next Month. I’m hoping for some subscriptions deals.
I don’t see any other episodes of Doctor Who on Disney+. Justwatch says HBO has them.
That is odd, they announced Nu-Who was moving to Disney+.
I thought that was coinciding with the Anniversary.
Just read this:
Damn, that is at odds with what I read not too long ago. Maybe I misread it or maybe it was mis-reported. So Doctor Who will be spread all over the place. With all their cuts, I’m shocked Max is hanging on to seasons 1-13.
I have Max on a phone deal for a really low monthly. So I was disappointed when I found out Who was moving to Disney+. This is just chaotic.
Unless a good deal pops up, I’ll probably wait on Disney+ renewal until new Percy Jackson season has only a few weeks to go. That is due to start December 20th.
It sounds like it will be legend…wait for it [starts up the Tardis]…
