Matt says he did all his own stunts for the Christmas Special.
trailer starts at 2:50
I’m liking the plot description. Should be a fun Christmas episode. BBC America is running it the same day too.
A few pics here.

In just one month, the yearly tradition of gathering with your loved ones and waiting for that special someone to come into your home and make your Christmas day special will occur. Yes, I’m talking about this year’s visit from the Doctor and his...
Matt also confirmed the forthcoming Christmas episode is set in World War II and sees The Doctor try and host a festive celebration for a family he meets but it takes on a “dangerous” twist.
The 29-year-old star - who is joined in the adventure by guest stars Bill Bailey, Claire Skinner and Arabella Weir - said: “The Doctor meets this plucky, feisty lady called Madge and finds out something very tragic about her life. So he invites her and her children back to his house to give them the best Christmas ever, which turns out to be the best Christmas ever in an extremely dangerous forest!”
They mentioned a Karen/Arthur Cameo in the Christmas special.
I’m guessing that’s to remind us they are still in the show? It did seem like their story wrapped up last season. They could still have new adventures with the Doctor. I’m just relieved that the Doctor looks the same in the pics. I wasn’t sure what they’d do after last seasons ending.

And there’s more Narnia references in the trailer.
“It’s a forest in a wardrobe in a sitting room! What do they teach them at these schools?”
