Doctors please translate this cause of death?

Thanks. In laymens terms can you please explain to me what is meant when a cause of death is listed as “Hypertensive cardiovascular disease”.

The person involved was found deceased, not in a hospital setting, they had a family doctor and had various routine appointments, but nothing of note.

IANAD, but to me it sounds like a combination of heart disease and high blood pressure.

But I suggest waiting for a real doctor to show up.
