Does anybody know how people in Accomack VA pronounce Accomack?

I’ve heard Accomack pronounced to rhyme with “Mac attack” and I’ve heard it pronounced to rhyme with Potomac. The pronunciation guides also vary. Does anybody know how the natives (or other Virginians at least) pronounce it? (I’m wondering because of a genealogy presentation I’m doing where it’s important.)

It’s “ACK-uh-MACK” (as you said, like “mac attack”).

Among locals, the “uh” is optional, much like the second syllable in Roanoke, making it something closer to “ack-mack”.
