Does anyone else experience euphoria with fevers?

Cause it’s the weirdest thing - I can always tell when I’m running a fever, because I kind of feel high. Tired and run-down, sure, but also sort of goofy.

No, I’m afraid I usually feel like crap. My temperature is usually around 96, so I can start feeling poorly around 98, and after 99 I just go to bed. Euphoria sounds nice.

Yes! I love that euphoria. Too bad I usually have the sweats to go with them. But, it’s kinda worth it.

I’ve only had the proper flu twice in my life, and both times it was an unpleasant experience for the most part. The only redeeming feature was the fever dreams. I dream vividly anyway, but these were off the scale - comparable to the ones I had when I was on a morphine drip.

Never had euphoria from fever, but sometimes an almost pleasant lassitude or languor. Once, the fever was high enough so that I hallucinated. Question: Is it a hallucination if you know it isn’t real at the time that it’s happening? Okay, I had very interesting visual mental imagery that overlay reality like a cellophane transparency overlaying a 3-D physical object.

Moved Cafe Society --> IMHO.

I get wonderful delirium “highs.” Floaty, druggy, LSD type visions. (Well, I’ve never had LSD, so I’m going by what others have said.) Really fun, I tell ya!

When the effect is only mild, I can usually accentuate it by reading Poe.

When the effect is strong, whoo!

I sort of understand why people take drugs…

Nope, I just feel like I’m drunk (spinning, brain needs longer time to catch up with my eyes, etc.) but without any of the good feelings. :frowning:

If it’s high enough. If it’s too high I just get tired, sore and mutter obscenities under my breath every time I stand up.
