Does anyone else have a hard accepting republican voters are decent people lately?

Stop us from locking the parents away, and/or freezing their assets, and/or executing them, or whatever, as per the penalties on the books for the laws they’ve broken. And in any such case, I guess the blameless kid would suddenly be in a worse situation than before; but we still punish the kid’s parents in such cases, right?

Do we throw them in a country that they left before they could walk?

If Trump is as horrible as the Left says (and I think he is- that’s why I threw my vote away on Evan McMullin), it makes you wonder why Hillary cashed all his checks. And went to his wedding. And let her husband play golf at his country clubs (where Bill STILL has a membership).

And if Trump really hates Hillary so much, it makes you wonder why he gave her so much money. And invited her to his wedding. And lets Bill Clinton play at his country clubs.

Get the feeling these two aren’t really as different or as inimical as they pretend?

So, if my parents sneak me and my brother into Disney World without paying, do I get to stay for free because it was my parents’ fault?

No, but they also are not allowed to throw you into the alligator pit.

Would you get to stay if they gave you a job?

I don’t think Hollywood is anywhere near as immoral as you feel it is. Hollywood raises a lot of money and awareness for various charities all over the world.

I disagree, it is about framing. Both sides frame issues to increase or decrease public support. “Illegal immigrant” causes more hostility than ‘undocumented worker’ the same way ‘death tax’ causes more hostility than ‘estate tax’.

Is that you, Forest?

Lots of people can be horrible in their personal life, but being a horrible person and being president are not the same thing. I may not like horrible people, but I really do not want them in positions of power. Trump is in a position of power and influence right now. If he were just a reality TV star and the exact same person I wouldn’t care about him much at all.

I don’t know if Trump really believes anything other than the glorification of Trump. When being pals with Hillary made his ego bigger, he did that. When tearing into her made it bigger, he did that.

I don’t know, I’ve never tried.

No.
But I’m glad you threw away your vote, I guess.

Smart aleck! The missing word is time.

I’ve never considered them decent people, or felt any obligation to do so. I can’t see a decent person associating themselves with such a blatantly malignant and irrational organization as the Republican party.

No smartaleckery here! I don’t have a hard time accepting Trump supporters as decent people because I’ve never tried. Decent people don’t support politicians who promise to torture prisoners and murder their families.

“Conservatives think liberals have bad ideas; liberals think conservatives are bad people.”

QFT

HA!!

Why yes, conservatives only thought Clinton’s ideas were bad, but respected her as a person. That’s totally the case.

And Barack Husein Obama. They respected the hell out of that guy.

Have you even read Twitter? This quote is a joke.

And not for nothing, as I wrote a few pages back I know many conservatives who are good people (albeit wrong) but by and large a shitty person tends to be Conservative so no, not all Conservatives are bad people but bad people tend to be Conservative.

Wasn’t that George Will, a conservative, who coined that phrase?

That’s because if you are a shitty person around a bunch of liberals, they will ignore you, dismiss you, and ultimately tell you to get the fuck away from them.

If you are a shitty person around a bunch of conservatives, they elect you president.

Far more rewards for shitty people on the right than on the left.
