Moosh! Moosh! Moosh! Count me in, especially when it has Hershey’s sauce and you mix it all around to Frosty-like consistency. Mmmm!
Crunchy Peanut Butter. Chocolate Sauce.
MOOSHED!!!
(I also moosh when it’s plain)
I only do it with vanilla and sometimes with chocolate. I like to stir it really fast and give it a consistency of soft serve. Most other varieties of ice cream that I eat contain nuts, chocolate bits, fruit, etc. and these I like to just eat as it comes out of the carton.
Me too, otherwise it hurts my teeth. BRAIN FREEZE!
I nuke it for 22 seconds in the microwave first. Why 22? Because I’m too damn lazy to even change numbers.
I usually let my ice cream sit for a minute or two while it gets soft and easy to dig into. The only time I mush it up is when I have vanilla drizzled with lots of chocolate syrup (no vanilla on its own for me ), and it gives it a kind of fast-food chocolate milkshake taste and consistency. Mmmm!
Oooh soft ice cream good. Except when it’s on a cone.
I eat everything with a teaspoon: cereal, soup, ice cream, mooshy ice cream… I would be perfectly happy in a household without tablespoons. Have I unwittingly been annoying people over the years??
Like so many others here, I only moosh vanilla after drizzling something chocolate on it.
Related topic: what’s your favorite moosh-in? I like syrup, Quik powder, or Quik powder & cocoa powder.
I’ll moosh oreos, or oreos and peanut butter, into vanilla ice cream occasionally. I’m try to stop eating ice cream though - it’s been two weeks so far, and I’m doing ok. I was previously getting way too high a percentage of my total calories from ice cream (I was guestimating it at a third, but I never actually bothered to figure it out for real) - and that just can’t be good for me in the long run
Only moosh with chocolate or coffee icecream. Mmmmmmm
My favorite moosh-ins are the good old standby Hershey’s syrup, and Nesquik syrup. Sometimes I’ll add sprinkles and mix it all together, sort of like a McFlurry.
Oh yes, I LOVE doing that! I don’t always do it, but sometimes I do!
Mostly because of the cavities I have, I can’t eat it too cold, because when just the tiniest bit of cold hits my one tooth-OH PAIN!!!
I saw this commercial for a Black and Decker thingamajig that takes regular ice cream and mixes it up so it’s like soft-serve. I want it!
I’m with you Guin - if it’s too cold it makes my teeth hurt, just 'cus I’ve got sensitive teeth.
Personally, I like to put chocolate chips in vanilla. Sometimes I’ll even put it in a blender and whip the shit out of it so the chips break up and it’s sort of like a blizzard.
Ummm, blizzard…
Only if its multiflavored will I mix and moosh it up.
I usually leave it in scoop form and eat it that way until there are 2 or 3 scoops left, at which point I may smoosh and swirl it around.
My Grandma used to stir it until it was the consistency of oatmeal, Still thick enough to spoon up, but soft enough to easily scoop. Of course by the end some of it is completey liquid. But it was yummy.
As kids, we used to moosh it and call it "ice cream soup’.
Yes mooshing improves the flavour of the icecream as it makes it a little warmer. An old trick with unpalatable medicines is to chill if possible and suck ice before taking.
Mooshing is also essential to incorporate the mashed candy bar or cookie of choice into the icecream. At kids parties they think its cool to have an array of candy bars to mash and then smoosh into icecream. It’s like kiddy cooking.
Hey, mooshers, what do you think of the Arctic Twister?
I let it sit for a minute, then spoon out the mushy parts nearest to the surface of the container. I do this every time I eat ice cream. But it’s a fine line between scraping yummy soft ice cream from the frozen block it comes on and the gross liquid ice cream that I have to re-freeze.
