Can it be used with a Mac? The requirements (Circuit City page) make it look like it requires Windows.
I have a SanDisk Sansa e200R 4GB MP3 player and it has WinXP with SP1 as a requirement in the manual. Not sure how similar yours is to mine, but just an FYI… I really like mine, and wish I’d gotten the 8GB model. I did pick up a 2GB microSD add-in memory card…but that’s as much as I can expand it for now.
I am pretty sure it can be used with any computer that can write to a USB thumb drive. I have a 1 gb model and it is really just one of their thumb drives set up with a music player. You can just open it up as a drive and drag and drop MP3 files on it and it will play them. It may not be compatible with any software it comes with however which isn’t usually a big loss and you could probably find some Mac freeware that does the same thing if you really want something like that.
Thanks. I want to buy a new player for my SO for the gym, and he doesn’t want an iPod, plus the 2 GB Nano is almost double the cost of th Sansa.
We’ve got a 512 SanDisk mp3 player that has a SD card slot (which is filled with a 2 gig card) and it works like a jump drive as well.
Well, two drives. The player is one and the card is the other.
