I’m seriously considering getting this channel, but have absolutely no idea of the costs. If someone could ballpark it for me, that would be great.
$150, paid in four installments, if I remember right.
With DirecTV, after you sign up, you’re automatically signed up for it every year, so remember to cancel if you don’t want it for a second year.
I think AuntiePam is refering to the NFL Sunday Ticket package on Direct TV, not the extended basic NFL Network.
I have the regular NFL channel and it’s included with my Dish package.
Yeah, I’m thinking this is about Sunday Ticket as well. NFL Network comes standard on our Comcast cable package.
Incidentally, it’s the only channel on our system that I actually know the channel number (275).

I’ve heard that they’re going to begin showing live NFL games themselves (next year, maybe?), not just score updates and fantasy lines on Sunday. Too lazy to look it up, though.

Well, if the OP is indedd referring to the NFL Network channel. I get it as part of an extended Sports Tier which also includes ESPNews, a bunch of regional Rox Channels and ther erason I ordered it, Fox Soccer Channel.
It costs $4 a month.
