Does anyone know the name of this song?

It’s in the commercial for HP Invent, the one where the woman is in Paris, and she takes all the pictures of the city from the Eiffel Tower, prints them all out back home and papers her wall so that she can sit in it and imagine she’s in France. I think the song’s in French, and it’s got a pretty cool sound, so I’m throwing it out to y’all …

Thanks, folks!

Is it the one with the Edith Piaf song that they used in Saving Private Ryan? That’s Tu Es Partout according to the imdb.

Ahh, thanks, Number, but …

If it was the sad-sounding song they were playing at the end before the last battle scene, then no. This was upbeat, and it had that sort of 60’s bouncy feel to it (Not that it was necessarily from the 60’s). I don’t think HP would have sold too many printers by making its potential customers cry.

I liked the Edith Piaf song, though. I think I managed to dig up an old recording somewhere.

Just found this in a search and thought I’d resurrect it as I would very much like to know the name of this song, too.

Thanks

It’s not on here but this might be a useful link for other Dopers.

Sorry I cannot find anything else that might help.

The HP Invent commercial showed up in the Harry Potter coming attractions yesterday, so when I got home, I pulled up this thread and found the commercial listed in the second link posted by casdave (It had to have been added after he posted it, because I remember searching this site too and not finding it.). The funny thing is that the site got the name of the band right, but it got the name of the song WRONG.

The song is by Les Sans Culottes. The name of the song is l’allumeuse.

And for VanLandry:

Thanks for all your help, guys. It was a fun search, n’est pas?

I think you want “n’est-ce pas.” Could be wrong. Sorry to nitpick.

No problem, I’m afraid German just isn’t my language.
