Yes it was. And the woman in the ad was Sarah Clarke, who would later go on to play Nina on 24.
Oh, and the fat kid from the “Da Da Da” commercial was in The Sandlot and the X-Files vampire/Rashomon episode.

There was also a parody ad shown somewhere that had Bill Gates and Steve Balmer driving around, picking up a Macintosh they found beside the road, making the face and dumping it out.
Wow, thanks. Do you know what year that was? I remember it being . . . '99 or so, but the tape player makes it feel really dated. Then again I think my sister had a 2002 Jetta with a factory tape player.
I felt like such an idiot when that commercial came out. I said, that’s so lame! WHAT was interesting?!! And my friend said dude, everything was going in sync with the music. :smack: :smack:
Funny seeing Nina Meyers on there, too.
I had a 2002 Jetta and I’m positive it had a cassette player.
Wikipedia says the commerical was from 1999.
And I wish Sarah Clarke would act in more stuff, she was awesome as Nina. But she’s too busy having George Mason’s babies.
Gee. Wasn’t it one of those commercials that premier during the SuperBowl? There was a flurry of cute car commercials right around then… also remember the one with something plowing under the snow, like in a Bugs Bunny cartoon, and then it stops… and you see the red turn signal blinking under the snow?
