Does anyone still watch Judging Amy? (spoilers)

What the FUCK is she doing consenting to marry that lawyer dude? ANY idiot can see that she and Bruce are meant for each other. He’s her best friend, for pity’s sake! What the hell was she thinking?! Does anyone else see a hit in the future? Ooooh, LawyerBoy took on the wrong case and was taken out driving Amy into Bruce’s arms.

What IS it with my favorite shows being driven down into oblivion due to piss poor writing and character development?

I haven’t been watching it lately, but my mother tells me Amy’s pregnant.

I assume she’ll be keeping the baby, but I wanted the writers to have some guts and have her get an abortion. Take that, red states!

Almost forgot about this one. Used to really like it, but I don’t think they air it anymore over here. Ack, there’s nothing more horrible than a series you like going down the drain. I can’t remember many examples of this happening though. There was Ally McBeal, of which the third season was … unworthy. And come to think of it, Melrose Place wasn’t even all that bad during the first season. I think one or two episodes even made me cry.

Fortunately, after not having watched for a long time, I saw a Gillmore Girls episode again, and that one was as enjoyable as ever. When I have too much money again (if ever), I’ll be ordering a couple of seasons on DVD.

I usually watch it, although the soap operaish tendancy to drift from crisis to crisis drives me mildly bonkers. I started watching it because my mother likes Tyne Daly. I still tend to enjoy Maxine, Sean Potter, and Bruce more than Amy or her brothers and their lovers. Given that Amy is pregnant, I’m not surprised that she agreed to marry “that lawyer guy”. What I do wonder is whether the wedding will actually occur. Or maybe they will get married but not live together. (I can’t picture lawyer guy moving in to Amy’s house which is overfilled with her family. Nor can I picture Amy moving in with lawyer guy). Or maybe she’ll have a miscarriage and then they’ll call the wedding off.
