It’s an interesting site that I’m getting more into, but I thought I would see what the teeming millions thought of Gather.com. It is like a bunch of blogs put together, but instead of each person’s posts being separated into different pages (like on Xanga or Livejournal or other actual blog websites), everything is searchable by topic and cross-referenced with similar articles. I’m not sure if I am describing it adequately, but I hope that makes sense.
You can also earn “Gather Points” by posting articles and pictures and commenting on other people’s work, though I’m still not exactly sure how the points work or what you can do with them.
So, has anyone else been there? What do you think? It is not a website that has been around a very long time and is not exactly huge yet, but it seems to be growing pretty fast.
