Does anyone use "Good" brand software for their Treo or smartphone?

My Treo is fine. I’ve a friend whose company has installed Good. There are quite a few excellent features that makes THAT Treo more efficient and navigable than mine. Search function for emails is just one.

I’ve tried to contact the company that makes it, to ask about purchasing the software. I am unsure if I CAN. Is it only sold as a business package, where a company buys it, runs it on their server and installs it into all Smartphones used by employees? I did check, Verizon supports it so I could in theory use it.

My company doesn’t issue Smartphones. I just want to be able to run it on my Treo. Anyone using this software, have comments positive or negative? Anyone know if it can be run stand-alone on a single unit?

Hey wow, a question I can actually help with. I maintain the Good server at my work. We have both a Good server (for folks with Treos) and a Blackberry server (for folks with Blackberries). I prefer the Goodlink software. It has more features and options than Blackberry. The bad news is, you can’t get it for personal use. It requires a Good server to be set up in the same domain as your email (Exchange, Lotus, whatever) server. Blackberry has a personal service you can use to hook it up to personal mail (like Gmail and Hotmail and such), but Good doesn’t.

Yes. I used to have a Treo (700w I think) running goodlink.

Yep. A drag, because it seems very efficient. My company won’t go for such a thing- and not everyone carries a smart phone.

I had a nice talk with the salesperson from Good. I guess some things are meant to be coveted but not obtained !
