On another message board, who’s name is not fit for mention in these hallowed halls, someone asserted that GWB was granted dual citizenship vis a vis Israel when he was elected.
Now I am certain this is untrue, but wanted to run it by the brain trust here before I lambaste the offender on the other board.
BobT, one does not have to be Jewish to be a citizen of Israel. If one immigrate to Israel, the he or she is granted immediate citizenship if he or she is Jewish. If not, the standard immigration rules (like the US rules) apply.
Newcrasher, I have no idea about the citizenship of either George W. Bush or Ari Fleischer, but I can tell you that unless he took the required oaths and signed the required forms, GWB is not an Israeli citizen. I would be shocked to learn that a sitting president of the US took such actions.
I’m certain it’s untrue too but you know it’s the offender on the other board who has the burden of proof. I would politely request he cough up the evidence if I were you.
Request him to cough up the evidence, but don’t try to wade through it if the phrase `Zionist conspiracy’ enters his posts. After that, it probably ain’t worth it unless you need a laugh.
