“Push Present”? ew. not sure I like the sound of that!
When I had my girls, someone told my husband he was supposed to get me gift…something with the birthstones of mother and child…so he got me a ring with a small ruby(July) in the centre for me and and emerald(May) on each side for the girls. It was a lovely gesture really but we were both like “ok, I guess this is what people do…?”
I remember all I really wanted after giving birth was FOOD! I hadn’t eaten all day when I went to the hospital and because they were born by c-section, I wasn’t allowed to eat for what seemd like DAYS! I was bribing passers-by to bring me ice chips because that was all I was allowed.
