I would very much like to own a docking station for my iPod Classic that displays the album covers. Ideally the display would be as large as a CD case more or less. I realize it would suck up a good deal of battery juice but perhaps that feature would only function when it was plugged into the wall.
Does such a thing exist?
I think this might do it:
It mentions showing album art in “screensaver mode” whatever that is.
But it has no price, just a link to find a dealer, which to me says it’s really expensive.
But I think it shows that it could be possible.

Probably not the answer you’re looking for, but it’s probably easier just to get a iPad mini, Kindle Fire, or Echo Show at this point.

Another vote for an iPad mini - no one is going to make a video docking station to compete with that solution. Too narrow a market.
If you don’t want that, the cobble one together with a small FPV monitor and an AppleTV - then mirror the iPod screen to the AppleTV.
