Does PowerPoint have a template...?

I need a template in PowerPoint for a basic flowchart. (Who creates flowcharts anymore?) Just the basic symbols I can scale and throw something together (with four steps) to please my boss. Does such a thing exist?

If not PowerPoint, where might I find such a thing for free compatible with Office Suite and easily editable / scalable?

Please don’t ask me to re-invent the wheel. :cry:

I think you want something like Visio. I’ve used draw.io for that. It did the job. You can export all the popular formats.

First of all, which version of PowerPoint are you using? Certainly the newer ones have templates built-in and can download others from the web.

With PowerPoint open, click the “Insert” menu. Then you have two options:

  • To insert symbols one at a time yourself, select Shapes > Flowchart.
  • To have PowerPoint help you build the flowchart, select Smart Art > Process (and if none of those options works for the kind of flowchart you have in mind, poke around the other types of Smart Art).
