I used to LOVE Quicken. I also used to wear shoes that had pumps on them.
The early 90’s versions were great.
Quicken '07 is/was lame to say the least, I’m just hoping that there is a significant reason to get/buy '08. I have a couple discount codes for the software, but, is '08 worth anything?
I’m still using the 2004 version – I haven’t seen any new features in the 4 years since then that I thought were worth buying. In fact, some ‘features’, like eliminating the export/input capability in the standard QIF file format and allowing only a proprietary Quicken format seem like ‘anti-features’ – reasons for me to keep the old version instead of upgrading.
If I did decide to go through the hassle of changing to a new version, I would strongly consider switching to the free Open Source alternative Grisbi (www.grisbi.org).
