I’m talking about the head/boss detective guy. (Sorry don’t know his name)
I’ve aptly dubbed him the black Christopher Walken.

The casting call for his character on Lost was “a ruthless corporate recruiter, tall and thin, with a chilling presence.”
I think it fits.
doesn’t really creep me out, but I wouldn’t wanna piss him off kinda vibe going on with him.
He was one of the central good guys (also the head boss/detective guy, strangely) on “The Wire,” so I can’t get too creeped out by him playing a similar character on “Fringe.”
You should have seen his couple of brief appearances on “Lost,” though. Creeee-py.
He certainly is…intense. No, not someone you want getting upset with you.
You know who on “Fringe” really is creepy? Walter. He’s so funny and loving and wacky - and a bona fide evil genius. Don’t get me wrong, Walter is one of my favourite characters on tv (and, may I add, I have a bit of a crush on him).
He does have that long, shiny, bald head with the big eyes that kind of makes him look like a live action version of Roger from American Dad.
But he was great as Daniels on The Wire.
totally, did you see Walter do that slight change when he got his brain parts together and connected to his head? That look of disgust and anger was creepy beyond anything I’ve seen from his happy-go-lucky-no-idea-wtf-i’m doing usual look.
I don’t know which episode you’re talking about, but I do know the look you’re talking about. I’m not sure yet if we’re going to find out that Walter has really changed from the badass he used to be, or if the badass is still all there.
the episode in question is S2 E10 “Grey matters”. Fringe (season 2) - Wikipedia
I see the character of Phillip Broyles of someone who takes his work VERY seriously. He doesn’t seem creepy to me at all, just a person who could probably stand to lighten up a little.
Totally creepy, but I love his voice.
He’s trying to prevent an inter-dimensional war. That’s no time to lighten up!
I wonder how much he weighs. He is just rail-thin, which adds to the creepiness.
My mother claims that he’s put on weight since the other role (I forget what) she used to like him in. Yikes.
He does have a commanding presence, but I have to fall in with the Walter is creepier crowd. Walter seems like your sweet, slightly confused grandfather, but then they keep reminding you of the terrible things he did to Olivia and all those other kids…
That, and sending his son off on a suicide mission, then trying to cremate him while he was still alive.
(Reference to another John Noble role, just in case it wasn’t obvious…)
Ok, am I the only one who thinks Lance Reddick is a very attractive man?
There was an episode of *The Wire *where he wandered around shitless and it became clear that he isn’t emaciated, so much as wiry and muscular with very broad shoulders and tiny waist.
I’m with you. I like that lean, very dark skin type. And yes, I definitely remember that episode of “The Wire.”
I still can’t get over his undercover persona on Oz.
Impossible to be creeped out by him after you’ve heard him sing lite-jazz:
