I’m gonna guess is that Walt survives and the final scene shows him driving to the point where he killed Mike and wading across the Rio Grande.
ETA: clinging to one of the barrels.

Everyone dies *except *for Walt. So he “wins”.
Yay Walt.
There has been a certain amount of “everyone dies” foreshadowing. Or possibly “does everyone die?” suspense building; we’ll know which it is in a couple of hours. (! ! !)
I’m thinking of moments such as the line in “Hazard Pay” while Walt and Junior are watching the Pacino Scarface: “Everyone dies in this movie.”
But…yeah, I did vote that Walt dies. Possibly not on camera, a la The Sopranos. But in any case, I do believe before Walt meets his fate, he will suffer emotional agony, and I think this will happen this way: he’ll cause the death (or at least severe maiming) of Walter, Jr.
There’s a reason that Gilligan kept Walt Jr. pure–the one character never shown to behave selfishly for all these five years. He’s the Unicorn. He will die for his father’s sins. This will destroy Walter.
Holly might meet the same fate; she’s an innocent, too. And there’s been all that foreshadowing with the Pink Teddy Bear, over the years. Again, what was Walter doing all this for, if Junior and Holly die (probably by his miscalculation or mistake)?
The futility of it all–that’s important.
As for Jesse: we care about him more than we care about Walt, Jr. I think he might survive.
I really want him to live, but I think he’ll die in this episode.
Someone please post the answer of who lives and dies in this thread once the episode is over. I have asked the mods to mark the thread “spoilers after it airs”.
No dying would be too easy for him. He’s going to suffer more loss, perhaps the loss of another family member and have to live with it, eventually dying alone of cancer.*The wretch, concentred all in self, **Living, shall forfeit fair renown, **And, doubly dying, shall go down **To the vile dust, from whence he sprung, **Unwept, unhonored, and unsung.*Jesse does get to kill Todd, though. At least that’s the way I would write it.
And now I must get off the Internet for the next three hours as I am a left-coaster.
Final results:
67% think he dies.
30% think he lives.
I’m going to stop making predictions.
So, he died.
What are the details of it? How did it “go down”?
Walter basically set himself up to die in the final ambush slaughter of Jack and crew. He rigged up a clever firing mechanism that unleashed a hail of bullets into Jack’s shack and one of the bullets hit him and ultimately killed him. But Jesse gets away, but not before doing in Todd. Lydia got the ricin. OK ending. A bit underwhelming after the previous very heavy episodes. But I’m OK with it.
