Does your kitten ever..........

…pounce around on the carpet with his/her back arched and all 4 sets of claws out?

Naturally - and sometimes they run sideways, especially if they’re on hardwood floors. Love it when they get the “crazies” - unless, of course, it’s 3 am in the morning.

Well, of course. Carpets, furniture, and throw pillows are all the mortal enemies of the Cat.

As are big, floppy, noisy beanbags.

And drinking straws. Drinking straws are not safe until they have been punctured in 3,457,592 places.

Cats love to “fetch” drinking straws. Really. I once owned a Blue Persian who would not only run to pick them up – he would deposit the straw at your feet.

Not to mention easily tipped over items such as cups. Whether the cat complusion to tip over stuff comes from I don’t know. My cat views it as his job- “damn another cup- be right back” Clink “Now, where were we?”

Also if you are reading the newspaper it immediately become the best place in the world to lie down. Gee thanks Spike.

Carbonation bubbles must have done something dastardly to cats. My cat tries to “catch” them in bottled soda thus knocking over the soda bottle.

no joke. Or any glass in general. A friend gave me a nice set of champagne glasses a gift… those didn’t last 2 minutes. Watching cats when they have the crazies is hilarious. Hours of free entertainment, especially if it involves the cat getting his/her head stuck in a pounce can. I always pull it out, and it always goes right back in.

I call it the Kitten Skitter ™. It’s really funny when my adult cats do it.

Mine does.

On walls.

Nikita will be sleeping peacefully for hours, then the next thing I know, her tail is puffed and she’s tearing about the apartment, running laps through my kitchen and living room.

Then, she stops. Looks at the wall. Assumes the position. Shoulders and feet shuffle. She’s dancing with it.
