Does Your SD ID Go Against Your Gender?

I can’t imagine a guy picking “Elfkin” as a screen name, but I’ve been called “he” on a number of occasions, so it must not be as girlie as it seems to me…

I always thought your name was a shortening of “Alessandro,” which is my brother’s name, so no gender confusion here.

I know that Kimmy Gibler is a male.

As for me, Serenata is a feminine word in Spanish… and I am female.

I suppose anyone could be upside down regardless of their gender, but in my case, gravity might make what would normally be my top half uncomfortable instead of what would normally be my bottom half.

Not everyone.

Feles. Which according to Wiktionary is feminine.

I’m a girl, and I think “Mama” would suggest same.

There’s a Doper named Ilsa Lund who is, IIRC, of the male persuasion.

Spacegirl is indeed, a girl!

Many people get confused so I should clarify once again that I am not an alcoholic beverage produced from fermented barley.
Also, I’m a man.

My ID is gender neutral but let me just check… yep, I’m a girly type.

My SD ID is female, but I’m a guy.

My namesake is a male character of mine. We don’t share a gender.

Every few hundred threads or so, someone will reply to one of my posts with “Wait. Kunilou, you’re a guy?”

Yes, I am. Look at my join date and post count. I have always been a guy.

I’m a guy. Muffin is what my parents, family, and close friends called me since I was an infant.

My name and I are both male.

I do not, however, get to sit in the upper house of the UK Parliament. (Actually not all real Lords do either, as a result of the 1999 reforms.)

A lot of people assume I am male from my username. I suppose it is a bit manly. Not a lot of girl warriors out there. I took it from a T. Rex album, and Mr. Marc Bolan is also a dude, so I can see how this might contribute to people wrongly placing my gender.

Not that I mind. I enjoy androgyny.

I guess it depends on what comes to mind when you imagine a kinky nippon tourist. I’m guessing male. But I’m not kinky (mores the pity), nipponese nor a tourist, so it makes perfect sense that I’m female.

I don’t think anyone has ever specifically thought I was woman. But I do recall one poster who said only women would use the word little in their username.

We’re both girls. (Sadly, that’s probably the extent of the characteristics we share.)

Most people somehow assume that I’m female from my screen name. I have no idea why.

It is. I mean, I think it is - the novel (*Tigana *by Guy Gavriel Kay; an excellent book, incidentally) is Italian-themed fantasy, so it makes sense that it would be a variation on an Italian name.

The reason people assume you’re female is because your name is Allison. :stuck_out_tongue:
