A while back I got a letter from the agency that handles pet licenses in Washington State. They told me that my Dog’s license had expired and it needed to be renewed. Well, my Dog died a couple months back and basically, I have to wonder…Is it even worth the trouble to tell them that, or should I not worry about it?
I’d let them know. It’ll save them from having to send out additional letters.
I actually recieved a suboena from my town. and had to explain that my dog had died 7 months ago (to a judge, fer crisake) and then had to produce the death certificate from my vet. Which left me wondering what if this particular dog had died in my home, and I buried it in my yard? I do have a ‘pet cemetary’ where, over the years, I have buried cats and parakeets and goldfish (for my kids, as you can imagine).
