Define “pit bull nutters”? What is your definition here?
No I am not interested in petitions or faceBook pages. If you have verifiable, reputable online cites other than wiki or law firms that represent dog bite victims, I’m happy to look.
Pit bulls owned by irresponsible ghetto owners may have killed a couple of hundred people in the last decade, yes. Which is awful. a: how many of those killed were killed specifically because of the breed of dog, v killed because of grossly irresponsible ownership?
And in that same decade, how many dogs have been killed at tax-payer expense? Thirty to forty million.And that doesn’t include the ones killed by neglect, dogfighting or drowning.
Yet, you are scared of dogs…
Still no cite on the incident you posted about. Regardless of dog breed, any dog that chases and/or attacks anyone: well, their owners need to be held responsible absolutely. But…read my lips: It’s not the breed. It’s the owner.
The fact that the majority of pit bulls are owned by irresponsible owners? That is a whole 'nother discussion.
You completely missed my point. Breeds other than pit bulls or pit bull mixes killed a few hundred. (Meanwhile, thousands of pit and pit mixes were killed by people, so who should be afraid of who?)
I am not in ANY way making excuses for irresponsible dog owners. But focusing on the wrong target won’t make life safer for anyone.
