Doggy on the roof!

It was weird enough that I had to share.

I was visiting some friends recently, and we went out for lunch. When we came back and were pulling into their driveway, one friend mentioned:
“Look! Dog on the roof!”

I had no idea what she was talking about until I got out of the car. Then I looked at the neighbor’s roof. There, with the closest thing to a grin on her face, was the neighbor’s bulldog mix, sitting comfortably on their roof. When we looked at her, she gave a little content tail wag. It was really cute.

It was later explained to me that the dog likes to hang out in the second floor attic, and when it gets warm, she noses the window open and just hangs out on their roof to cool off. The neighbors are well aware of it, and keep bringing her in when they know she’s out, but… It was just amusingly weird. Happy dog on the roof. :slight_smile:

That made me giggle. Having been around bulldogs, I can just picture one doing this. Too bad you didn’t get pictures!

Our dog used to sit on the roof of his dog house, Snoopy-like. It was a pretty traditionally-built doghouse, too, with the sloped roof. He just learned how to cope with it.

My brother’s neighbor has a dog that is often on the roof. Better yet it barks from the roof.

Once in a Home Depot I heard the following announcement over the P.A.:
Would the owner of a red Dodge Ram and a doberman please return to your vehichle. The dog is on the roof of the truck.
In perfect unison, every single person in the store their head up with a “WTF?” look on their face.
