If you own the domain site, say, “presidentialmonument.com”, and have a website parked on that address - if someone Googles or Bings the words “presidential monument”, will your dotcom website always be on the first page, at the top or close?
I know other websites with different names will show up, simply because they are related to the words of your search, but does a domain name pretty much assure that your page will come up at the top of the list, even if the website is new or gets little traffic?
I don’t think so. Many years ago people stockpiled all the commonly used names, many of which never got used. Did you note Yahoo is having an auction of many of them that Yahoo bought:
You look at the first name mentioned (sandwich.com). If you do a Google search for sandwich do you find it? [Actually when I just went to that site my Antivirus said virus]
Search engines guard their algorithms pretty tightly so there’s no way to know for sure, but a site that has no interconnection with the rest of the web is unlikely to show high in any search engine.
