Domestic terrorists take aim at health care reform

Hum. This guy lives about 10 minutes from me. I do believe I’m going to troll the shit out of his blog and tell him what a fucked up weasel he is.

Yeah, no violence incited by the tea parties here…

Gasline severed at Congressman’s brother’s house

It should probably be noted that the tea partiers who posted the address thought it was Congressman Pierello’s.

Death threats made against Democrats and their families:

Perhaps an ungentle reminder is in order?

Any of the board’s conservatives want to chime in here and denounce these goings on?

<crickets>

Thought so. Congratulations, you are now complicit in these crimes.

vandalism is not the answer. there ya go.

Dude if I was a Republican I would be stabbing myself in the brain right now.

Denouncing these goings on over a liberal-slanted message board is pretty pointless. Other than, say, Lonesome Polecat and Crafter_Man, we’re pretty much devoid of right-wing crazies ('course, we’ve got lots of left wing crazies).

Sam Stone* typing, “this is terrorism and those responsible should be ashamed” on the SDMB is hardly going to reach many crazy right wing ears. On the Freep or at a Tea Party, maybe.

Yeah, I’m sure those bastards at the FBI don’t give a shit about congressmen’s offices being vandalized. Fucking partisan bastards

Why would any of them be complicit? That’s just nutty.

For the record, I can’t imagine even the wing-nuttiest righties on this board condoning tactics like threatening to kill the children of Congresscritters. The fact that none has wandered into this read yet doesn’t mean squat.

I don’t think he’s suggesting that the FBI is ignoring this; he’s just saying, “well done, right wing nutbags, enjoy prison.” I could be wrong.

That’s pretty much what I had in mind.

By their silence they are asserting their agreement (tho yes the original noun I used is probably too extreme). Of course it’s really the GOP leadership that needs to do this, not the rank and file (tho the fact that they’ve let these loons hijack their party should make the saner Repos feel very worried), but instead the likes of Boehner are just egging them on (we can only hope that the worst of the vandalism involves egging).

They want the land, they don’t want the stupid.

Well fuck me runnin’, look at what some classy little number just faxed over to Bart Stupak’s office. I hold no brief for Stupak, I hated his grandstanding bullshit maneuver about abortion and his abject betrayal of the platform of his party, but NOBODY deserves this kind of shit for his political actions. This is foulness, evil, disgusting slime and quite frankly at the moment I’m taking a rather macabre interest in seeing just how far this moral freefall will continue–I think I know how low they can go but I fear they’re gonna exceed even my most cynical expectations.

Written by Kevin “Coach” Collins? What the hell does he coach?

Also, I truly don’t understand the beef the pro-life people have with this bill. Didn’t include language that says no federal funds will go toward abortions? Didn’t Obama just sign an executive order underscoring that? What exactly did they want…an amendment saying that all abortions are now illegal? It seems like they got a pretty good deal.

Lamaze?

You are making the mistake of thinking that these people are driven by a genuine disagreement with what is actually in the bill, and not the FUD shat out by right-wing dissemblers.

My guess is high school football.
