I’m glad I’m not the only one who got the ironic and sick connection of Don Ho dying the week of Imus’s “Ho.”
I wish to correct and extend my remarks. The New York TImes has now run a home-made obit. Still quite second-rate IMHO. This is why I have mine all ready to go.
Without objection, the Honorable Doper for Saudi Arabia may do so.

Now, if someone had asked me yesterday if I thought he was alive, I would have said “no, I’m pretty sure he died years ago.”
And even though I’ve apparently been missing him prematurely, he will still be missed.
He was definitely a sweet guy. My daughter’s senior class in high school put on a variety show, a few years back, called “Oh, no! Don Ho!” full of silly palindromes, complete with one of the kids playing our eponymous hero. Don Ho showed up at one of the performances. He went up on stage at the end and shook hands and said he enjoyed it.
